Downtown Disney is experiencing the same issues as Disney Springs in regards to the release of Lorcana Curator’s Collection: Heroines Edition and the Disney Lorcana Attack of the Vine set. A massive crowd has hit the shopping, entertainment, and dining district hoping to get their hands on the merchandise.
Lorcana Release at Downtown Disney
The Lorcana merchandise is available at Pin Traders, which is located at the west end of Downtown Disney near the Monorail station.
The line begins at Pin Traders and ends near Salt & Straw. The queue is doubled back and forth multiple times to keep it contained instead of filling up other areas of Downtown Disney. Blue painters tape helps keep the line somewhat organized.
Guests began queueing as early as yesterday evening, and Disney began selling merchandise around 7:00 a.m. However, the line was capped just one hour later at 8:00 a.m. No more guests are able to join the line.
This particular release is easily much more crowded than any previous release.
Other locations are also experiencing similar (or worse) issues. Guests at Disney Springs at Disney World are experiencing the same crowds and long lines. Following disruption outside the Oxford Street Disney Store in London overnight, the store was forced to close and cancel the release planned.
