Matterhorn Bobsleds Closed at Disneyland for Temporary Refurbishment

Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland has officially closed for a short refurbishment and will reopen later this week. The attraction takes guests through a snow-capped mountain on a speeding alpine sled while avoiding the Abominable Snowman.

Matterhorn temporarily closed at Disneyland.

During our recent visit to Disneyland, the queue for Matterhorn Bobsleds was blocked by two cast members standing outside the entrance with a pin trading station and a sign confirming the expected temporary closure of the ride: “Our bobsled runs are currently undergoing improvements. Please enjoy other Fantasyland attractions.”

The queue is chained off, and the Lightning Lane stations are covered with green tarps to reflect the closure.

Matterhorn Bobsleds was scheduled to close for this brief refurbishment on Monday, July 20, and will reopen Friday, July 24.
