Disney has planted new palm trees at the EPCOT entrance after the old trees were irrevocably damaged during winter cold snaps. The old trees were removed in May.
New EPCOT Palm Trees

There used to be five palm trees to either side of Spaceship Earth, but now there are three (for a total of six). Compare to our photo below of the old trees.
The new palms appear to have thicker trunks and fuller fronds. They may be a different species.

The trees are in flowerbeds in front of the EPCOT meet and greet mural on the right and the wheelchair rental station on the left. They help provide a little more shade to the area.

Last month, trees were removed from the park’s main entrance, providing a more unobstructed view of Spaceship Earth.
The fountain in front of Spaceship Earth remains inactive.
