EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion has lost one of its new trash cans. But more solar-powered cans have been installed in the China and France pavilions.
Mexico Pavilion Trash Can

Disney has been installing solar-powered trash cans around World Showcase for the past several weeks. Last week, we saw a new can in this style, albeit without solar panels, inside the Mexico pavilion. This was the first time we saw one of the new trash cans inside.

Now, the trash can is gone. We only saw the old standard trash and recycling bins inside the Mexico pyramid.

Meanwhile, the China pavilion has a new solar-powered trash can. Solar-powered cans had previously been installed along the walkway outside the China pavilion. This one is in a corner near the House of Good Fortune shop. It takes the place of a potted plant that has been moved awkwardly into the walkway.

Solar-powered trash and recycling cans have arrived in the France pavilion. There are some of the same brown cans featuring the World Showcase logo on the front. But the France pavilion also has some unique themed cans.

In the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure expansion of the pavilion are these green bins with filigree on the sides. The color and filigree match the architecture of the expansion more than the brown cans would.

We saw some trash and recycling pairs, as well as single trash cans. In addition to solar panels, the new cans have foot pedals for more hygienic operation.
The solar panels power trash compactors inside. Solar-powered cans were also installed in the Morocco pavilion this week.
