Lotus Blossom Café in the China Pavilion of EPCOT has been undergoing refurbishment this year, one half at a time. The right side of the restaurant is now closed for refurbishment work.
Lotus Blossom Café Refurbishment
The left half of the restaurant reopened in early July, and the right side is now closed for refurbishment. The entire right-side exterior has been surrounded by privacy hedges.
Additionally, the entryway to the dining space inside the restaurant has similarly been covered by privacy hedges to prevent guests from entering during the refurbishment process.
The left-side refurbishment lasted roughly a month after closing in mid-May.

Overall, the project appears to be a smaller-scale refresh focused on the dining spaces rather than a broader restaurant update.
