REVIEW: La Poutinerie Changes the French Fry Game at Walt Disney World Forever

The La Poutinerie quick-service kiosk at EPCOT is now open, offering specialty poutine dishes and slushies. This spot has completely changed the French fry game at Disney World, and we would love for this to become the standard across property.

Québec: L’authentique – $10.99

French fries, cheese curds, and brown gravy

Québec: L’authentique at La Poutinerie

The fries are not your typical Walt Disney World fries. They are cooked to be crispier but the gravy obviously makes them a little squishy. Overall, they are the best fries at any quick-service restaurant on property.

The cheese curds are nothing special but still delicious. The gravy is a bit salty but not overpowering. This is a solid option and an upgrade from the old Refreshment Port poutine.

Montréal: Viande Fumée – $12.49

French fries, cheese curds, smoked meat, pickles, and mustard gravy

Montréal: Viande Fumée at La Poutinerie

This is a more elevated poutine. The pastrami is deliciously smoked and up there with Regal Eagle Smokehouse. We wonder if they are smoking it there because it’s so similarly well made.

The pickles pack a tart punch. The flavors work well together and the additions make it even more enjoyable. Plus, it’s a fairly dense portion. You could eat one and be full for the day or split it between friends.

Spiced Apple Slushy – $6.29

Frozen ginger beer blended with lively lime and cozy spiced apple flavors (Non-alcoholic)

Spiced Apple Slushy at La Poutinerie

The spice of this slushy punches the back of your throat and while it’s not bad, there are better options. This isn’t a slushy for a typical kid. It’s an okay alternative to the better-tasting alcoholic version.

Spiced Apple Mule – $14.50

Frozen ginger beer blended with lively lime and cozy spiced apple flavors with Iceberg Canadian Vodka

Spiced Apple Mule at La Poutinerie

In the non-alcoholic version, the spice still punches but the flavors shine. The vodka cuts the spice just enough to make it more refreshing. Nothing is overly powerful.
