House of the Whispering Willows Gallery, or the museum located at the Temple of Heaven replica in the China Pavilion, currently has a 10th anniversary display for Shanghai Disney Resort.

Museum Display

The museum display has Shanghai Disney Resort 10th anniversary iconography on the outside and several items from the resort’s history on display.

The maquettes at the back of the display represent the pegasus horses on the Fantasia Carousel.

An invitation from the grand opening of Shanghai Disneyland is on display, as well as a grand opening Mickey Mouse figure and a pair of sparkly gold Mickey and Minnie plush. The sign reads:

On Juen 16, 2016, Shanghai Disneyland cast opened its gate for the first time, welcoming guests from far and wide to new realms of Disney magic. A wide variety of memorabilia was available to commemorate the ocassion, including Mickey and Minnie decked out in their sparkly finery.

Beside the grand opening merchandise was some 10th anniversary merchandise beside a description placard. The sign reads:

Shanghai Disney Resort kicked off a new chapter of wonder and imagination in 2026 with its 10th Birthday Celebration. “With You, It’s Magic+.” Amid the many festive offerings were a new parade and new shows, glittering birthday outfits, exclusive merchandise, and an array of tasty celebratory treats!”

There is even a 10th anniversary Mickey name badge with his name in English and Hanzi.

At the end of the display is a pair of items from Shanghai Disney Resort’s 5th anniversary. There is a lanyard with a set of pins and a gold-toned item that appears to be either a locket or a pin that opens, showing the Enchanted Storybook Castle inside.

The sign beside the items reads:

In 2021, Shanghai Disney Resort hosted a special yearlong celebration to commemorate five years of dreams coming true. The “Year of Magical Surprises” welcomed guests with festive decorations, treats, a parade, and more!
