Temporary Barriers Installed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Beach

During our visit today, July 1, we saw a series of black barriers installed along the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Beach Barriers

Barriers are being installed along the beach line at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. As of today, they are only blocking a section of the beach access on the lefthand side of the chairs.

While Cast Members were not positive on the purpose of the barriers, speculation is that they are being installed to reduce access to the beach for the July 4th, America's 250 celebration. At this time, it is believed the beach access will be restricted to club-level guests and those staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Disney has been limiting guest access to certain locations as of late. Guests visiting Walt Disney World now have to verify a hotel, dining, or activity reservation before using resort transportation from Disney Springs. They may also be aiming to limit access to the resorts during the holiday season.

There will be a lot going on at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts for America’s 250th. Check out our full guide if you plan on visiting.
