Tribute Store Facade, Sideshow of Decay Stages, and More Halloween Horror Nights 35 Prep

Crews have installed more props and set pieces for Halloween Horror Nights scare zones at Universal Studios Florida. The scare zones announced so far are Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, Sideshow of Decay, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and FORTNITEMARES.

Hollywood: Sideshow of Decay

After some creepy clown props were installed on the Hollywood street, we speculated this could be the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares scare zone starring Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow. However, with newly-installed stages and sets, we can confidently say this will be Sideshow of Decay:

Cindy’s time has come. With Dr. Oddfellow’s dark sorcery, she opened a portal in the carnival’s junkyard — using it to resurrect decayed nightmares from the past that are back to haunt you.

Made up of weathered but colorful walls, banners, and broken attractions, each set has a different theme. This one, as seen on the sign above the stage, is the “Unnatural,” featuring strange creatures. Banners advertise a gigantic mantis, hissing roaches, deadly wasps, and a flesh eating plant.

This stage will display the “Absurd” and “Weird.” There’s a pair of dirty clown heads, one smiling and the other frowning.

The frowning clown head sits in front of some equally dirty mirrors, on a pergola.

The other clown head is smiling atop a column with “Beast” spelled out on it. A hanging banner reads:

The show stopping heart-pounding thrill of a lifetime
Witness the insane deranged performance from the farthest regions of the world
and so much more!

Next up is a stage for “Creatures” featuring two such creatures as sculptures.

There’s a two-headed swan boat — maybe from a Tunnel of Love attraction — and a carousel horse. Around them are colorful barrels and scaffolding.

Across the front of the stage are baby doll heads.

To the side of the stage is a tickets booth.

The last stage is for the “Undoubtedly Dead” with giant zombie faces and a scaly tale sticking out of a barrel. A broken Ferris wheel is at the back of the set.

A banner at the back advertises a Fish-Man under an “Enter if you Dare” sign. Two crates appear to be seeping blood. Other signs read “Dead or Dying” and “What is it?”

The back of each set is covered in corrugated panels.

New York: Killer Klowns From Outer Space

The New York section of the park also features colorful clown theming but this appears to be for Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Infernal Carnival of Nightmares will probably be at the entrance of the park.

The Killer Klowns have apparently vandalized two columns with “Downtown” signs. The faux brick bases have random colorful bricks. Polka-dots and stripes run up the columns.

The balls on top have been painted with clown faces. Each column also has some kind of tarp-wrapped prop attached. These kinds of hidden props are usually either spoilers for yet-to-be announced offerings or too gruesome to be exposed to day guests.

Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store

New York also includes the Tribute Store. The facade is coming together next to Revenge of the Mummy with weathered blue and brown columns creating an entrance archway.

Under the archway is a wooden ticket booth.

Central Park: FORTNITEMARES

Between Hollywood and DreamWorks Land is what may be the FORTNITEMARES scare zone. Trusses are at the entrance to the zone, with blue fence-like walls around their bases. A small platform is on the ground next to one of the walls.

Two pillars wrapped in green scrim with mounted speakers and lights are further down the street. These may be covered with more theming later.

At the far end is an open shed where a scareactor will likely hide. Next to the shed is a partially-built brick wall.

A reddish tentacle curls around the wall.

Halloween Horror Nights 35

Halloween Horror Nights 35 at Universal Studios Florida is on select nights from August 28 through November 1, 2026.

This year’s haunted houses are:

There will be a Stranger Things lagoon show. The stage show will be Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir featuring sword swallower Auzzy Blood.
