Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro has officially been in his role for 100 days now, and the two Josh’s got together to talk about the Disney song D’Amaro sings when he’s alone in the car, what Pixar movie can always make him cry, and more.

Gad and D’Amaro Interview

The interview begins with Gad noting that Imagineers have not yet invented a teleprompter for him to read the questions, so he has a very small card instead.

The first question Gad asked was what attraction D’Amaro wishes he could shut down for just one hour and ride by himself. He answers that he’s done this before for Pirates of the Caribbean, although he doesn’t specify which version of the ride he’s done this for!

His favorite Walt Disney quote is “It’s fun to do to the impossible” and the villain he secretly roots for is Maleficent because she’s “misunderstood.” Gad notes he’s more of a fan of Ursula.

Up is the Pixar movie that makes him cry every time, and he just finished binge-watching both “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” and “The Bear.”

Gad asked if D’Amaro has ever sang “Let It Go” in the car or shower, to which D’Amaro enthusiastically answered, “both.”

Gad asked him who his favorite Disney legend is (as he points to himself). D’Amaro jokingly answered that yes, Gad is his favorite Disney legend, while also admitting former CEO Bob Iger is his real answer.

The interview concludes with Gad asking when he gets his own parking spot on the studios lot, and D’Amaro notes that he’s seen him illegally park there before. Gad jokes he doesn’t want to get towed by the Mickey police.
