A month after its permanent closure, Westward Ho is now behind construction walls. It will eventually be demolished as the area continues changing for the forthcoming Piston Peak National Park.

The nearby construction walls will eventually be moved forward into the existing riverwalk area. A pedestrian pathway will be temporarily installed along the promenade for parade viewing and movement during the years of expected construction.

For now, the boardwalk is still open. Although we did notice that the area that houses the popcorn stands has also been walled off. Those stands, as well as the churro stands, have been relocated.

You can now find the churro stand nearby at Frontier Trading Post.
