A physical fight broke out in Disneyland Park yesterday, October 15, 2023, in front of the Storybook Land Canal Boats.
Fight Breaks Out in Front of Storybook Land Canal Boats
The video was shared with us by @capturedthrills on Instagram, who was not involved in the fight. Monstro from the Storybook Land Canal Boats can be seen looking on as the chaos ensues.
According to @capturedthrills, a family all wearing red was standing in the walkway from the Mad Tea Party attraction to The Mad Hatter store in Fantasyland.
Another family was attempting to get by and asked the family in red to move to the side. The family in red “gave them attitude” and told the family trying to get by them to go around; this was not possible, as “there was a small opening” and the second family had strollers.
The two families continued to argue back and forth, and then teenage girls from both sides began to argue in close proximity. It was here that the physical fighting began.
Initially, two guests are visible in the video, as one guest in blue pushes another guest in red. A second guest in red runs up and throws a punch at the first guest. The camera pans away for a moment but returns to show two more guests joining the fray. The three-person fight eventually morphs into what looks like a five-person fight as other guests quickly hurry away from the scene.
Previous Incidents at Disney Parks
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time an altercation has broken out at Disneyland Park, and certainly not at the domestic Disney Parks as a whole.
In 2022, a fight broke out on the evening of the long-awaited return of “Fantasmic!” at Disneyland Park.
Earlier this year, two people were removed from Magic Kingdom and trespassed from Walt Disney World Resort after an altercation in front of the Main Street, U.S.A. train station.
There is a “Courtesy” section on the Disneyland Resort website that asks guests to “treat others with respect, kindness and compassion” and that “those who cannot live up to this simple wish or follow [their] rules may be asked to leave the park.”
