Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has debuted a new version of their BoardWalk Deli gingerbread display this holiday season. The display can be found in the resort’s lobby, along with a kiosk selling various sweet treats.
Gingerbread BoardWalk Deli
A sign lists the display’s ingredients, including 184 pounds of whole rye flour, 184 pounds of light rye flour, 168 eggs, 22 gallons of honey, and 30 pounds of fondant.
The display took 210 hours to create.
While the gingerbread BoardWalk Deli was a more square building the last few years, it has a rounded roof and two gabled roofs this year for a more cutesy cartoon design.
The silhouettes of Mickey’s friends are in each of the display’s windows.
Tiny lights in awnings over the windows illuminate the characters and BoardWalk Deli sign.
There is candy garland around the edge of the roof.
A working clock is at the top of the display.
A fondant Christmas tree is decorated with baked goods and a Mickey Santa hat.
Another tree features Disney100 decorations.
Mickey and Minnie are baking in the deli’s kitchen, visible through windows.
A tiny whiteboard inside the kitchen lists different names and treats.
There are two large Mickey-shaped wreaths on each side of the gingerbread display.
They are decorated with candy ornaments and tiny gingerbread men.
A postcard-like sign on this side features the BoardWalk wordmark with “Happy Holidays,” within a golden icing frame.
A pastry chef will be signing pins on Saturday, November 18 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Behind the gingerbread house is the resort’s miniature roller-coaster in a display case, making for the perfect backdrop for the display.
Guests can visit the display and purchase treats from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the BoardWalk lobby.
The BoardWalk gingerbread house pin is also available at the treats kiosk for $19.99.
In addition to snack items, the kiosk sells hot chocolate for $6.49. Guests can add one of these cordials or spirits for a total of $13.50 – $14.50:
- Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
- Frangelico Liqueur
