The seven-foot house is as heavy as it is tasty, containing over 700 pounds of wooden infrastructure. The partially edible abode is made of 600 pounds of gingerbread, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, and 250 pounds of fondant.

The gingerbread house traditionally has the same foundational appearance, as it’s annually fashioned to the exterior of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Chip ‘n’ Dale return in holiday garb for this year’s display, flanking either side of a Christmas tree cupcake. The rambunctious chipmunks have appeared in past years but were absent in 2022.

This year’s candy rendition of the hotel features Mickey-shaped gingerbread men around the foundation, a chocolate chip cookie-fashioned pathway, and a pretzel stick-flanked entrance.

Festive frosting swirls have been piped around the gingerbread house. They’re complemented by red and green candy canes and other peppermint-flavored treats.

Another sign detailing some fun facts about the house appears on its other side. It tells guests to check out the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart if they wish to commemorate their visit with a sweet treat; you can check out the location’s seasonal menu here.

The festive spirit is in full swing at Disneyland Resort, as the holiday season officially commenced at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure on November 10. Check out some of our coverage of other recent seasonal happenings at the resort:
