Several entertainment offerings around the Universal Orlando Resort are permanently ending. Most recently, the a cappella singing competition show Sing It! has ended permanently. We caught their performance on the final day, which you can watch in our YouTube video below. Soon, more entertainment and streetmosphere characters will be going away or becoming seasonal.
Sing It! performed multiple shows daily on Delancey Street in the New York part of Universal Studios Florida. The show had multiple singers performing together and would create an energetic atmosphere in this part of the park. The show will no longer be offered and no replacements have been announced.
Drive-In and Dance, the 50’s-inspired show in the Hollywood section of the park, is also said to be ending permanently the last week of January. Be sure to catch their show in front of Mel’s Drive-In before they’re gone. The final date is reportedly January 26.
Other entertainment changes around Universal Studios Florida include the Ragtime Gals. The Ragtime Gals from Race Through New York starring Jimmy Fallon are rumored to become seasonal at the attraction soon. The Gabby meet and greet with dance party is also rumored to be ending soon, but that is to be expected with the new DreamWorks Land opening in 2024.
Over at Islands of Adventure, the streetmosphere pirates and citizens of Port of Entry are also going away this month. Last month, we reported on the baby triceratops meet and greet ended in Jurassic Park.
Recently, Universal Orlando has been quietly ending many of the smaller experiences that contribute to the overall experience of the parks. How do you feel about these smaller shows and interactions ending without replacements? Are you a fan of any of these experiences? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for more updates.
