Before the Country Bear Jamboree as we know it closes permanently to make way for the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Walt Disney World is extending the operating hours of the attraction to accommodate larger crowds.
More Hours for Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree usually opens at 11 a.m. and closes an hour or two before the rest of the park. But with more guests visiting the Grizzly Hall show this week, Country Bear Jamboree has been staying open later and will open earlier on Friday, January 26 — the last day of operation for the current show.
The Walt Disney World website still states Country Bear Jamboree will open at 11 a.m. on Friday, but Cast Members at the attraction indicate it will open with the park at 9 a.m. In addition, during a visit to Magic Kingdom last week, the My Disney Experience app indicated that the attraction would close at 7 p.m., but we saw it remain open until 10 p.m.
During our visits to Country Bear Jamboree in the past week, we’ve noticed more guests in the theater than before. For the first show of the day on Sunday, January 21, the line to enter Grizzly Hall extended past the breezeway to Adventureland and reached Frontier Trading Post.
Country Bear Musical Jamboree was first announced during Destination D23 in September 2023. Inspired by the musical revues of Nashville, it will feature Disney songs reinterpreted in “different genres of country music, including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly,” and more. “The Bare Necessities” will be among the Disney songs included.
