Guests at the D23: Ultimate Disney Fan Event will get a first look at the ride vehicle and more for the Avengers King Thanos Multiverse attraction coming to Disney California Adventure.
Avengers King Thanos Multiverse Ride First Look
The E-ticket ride was announced at D23 in 2022 and confirmed to be a multiverse ride focusing on a world where Thanos won. It’s been two years since any news was shared about the attraction, leading many to wonder if it was still coming.
A standee of King Thanos is on display, with a model of the ride vehicle located next to him. King Thanos is a version of Thanos who won, unlike in the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” It has been announced that King Thanos was a villain specifically designed for Avengers Campus.
A screen plays a video about the King Thanos and ride vehicle designs. It includes an artist drawing the King Thanos artwork used for the nearby standee.
The video also includes digital 3D models of King Thanos.
The ride vehicle’s style reminds us of the new Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure in Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea.
The video includes an artist sketching designs for the vehicle. It then goes through the process of 3D modeling and dimensional design.
An artist meticulously paints the model that is now on display.
The ride vehicle is primarily white, with touches of red and black, reminiscent of the suits worn by the Avengers in “Avengers: Endgame.”
Details include a label indicating this vehicle is dubbed M5-AD507. Each vehicle on the actual ride may feature a different number.
The Avengers logo is also in a corner, above a label reading “Multiworld Transport Vehicle.”
The model is on display in front of artwork of two curved arms, similar to the time-traveling machine the Avengers use in “Endgame.” It seems likely these are what guests will “jump” through during the ride to travel through multiverses.
While the ride vehicle found at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is sent through time, this one is designed to be able to “jump between worlds, and even realities – on planet Earth and beyond.”
Inside the ride vehicle, we can see three rows each sitting higher than the one before. A model of a person helps give a sense of scale. It looks like the rows will each fit approximately four guests.
A light-up element on the back of the vehicle resembles Iron Man’s arc reactor.
The video includes a look at one of these life-size elements as crews test lighting.
It progresses to show a life-size vehicle without paint.
When the Avengers attraction was originally announced, Disney said it would feature a “brand-new story that will bring guests into battle alongside their favorite Super Heroes.” Additional information has been released, citing that this will be an “epic family adventure” where you’ll get to team up with the Avengers and their allies “to battle against foes in a multi-world experience.”

No opening date or official name has been announced yet for the attraction, but stay tuned for our coverage throughout the weekend as more information is revealed. Details may be announced during Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday evening. Read our predictions for the panel.
