During the Horizons: Disney Experiences panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, it was confirmed that a Spider-Man-themed roller coaster is coming to Shanghai Disneyland.
Spider-Man Roller Coaster Coming to Shanghai Disneyland
Few details were shared during the presentation but Disney Parks Blog posted the following description:
Peter Parker has gotten himself — and us — in a bit of a tight spot. We’re going to follow HIM – at very high speeds – to get us out of trouble.
Concept art shows Spidey swinging by a vehicle on a red coaster track. The W.E.B. logo from Avengers Campus is on the train and nearby crates.
Another piece depicts Spidey and a coaster train in a room illuminated with red and blue light.
Shanghai Disney Resort announced to shareholders that a new attraction was coming to the park in March 2024. In April 2024, a municipal planning map was uncovered that showed a forward and reverse launch.
Disney also announced a Spider-Man attraction for Hong Kong Disneyland.
