We have a first look at some of the themed food and beverages coming to Halloween Horror Nights 33, thanks to Nerdist. These are just a sampling of the menus.
Wooden Board Éclair – A Quiet Place
The éclair is filled with spicy dark chocolate cream and covered in chocolate ganache.
Mini Stay-Puft S’more – Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
One of the most obvious choices when designing Ghostbusters treats, this mini Stay-Puft is your standard s’more with a graham cracker base, milk chocolate, and marshmallow.
Slimer’s Korean Corndog – Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Slimer’s Korean Corn Dog features his favorite Cheetos in powder form, along with Fritos, ghost pepper, sage derby cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
The Red Door – Insidious: The Further
Have you ever wanted to eat a door? Following the style of the A Quiet Place eclair, here’s more edible lumber. This is a vegan handpie with potato and onions.
The Bride’s Cake – Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines
The Bride’s Cake is a mini tiered vanilla cake (dyed green, of course), filled with raspberry jam. The outer coating is chocolate, not fondant.
Heart “Beet” Tostada – Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America
Universal has been expanding their vegan offerings for the last few years, and this is another. It features a tortilla topped with red beet tartar, hummus, vegan feta, and watercress.
Poison Apple – Major Sweets Candy Factory
While this looks like your typical theme park candied apple, it’s actually cake. That’s right. Get your phones ready to film your very own “cake reveal” video. It’s struesel cake with caramel mousse and apple filling.
Pumpkin Guts – Goblin’s Feast
Another vegan option! These are veggie noodles made from butternut squash and zucchini topped with pumpkin seeds and vegan brown butter. They’re served inside an actual squash.
Harissa BBQ Turkey Wing – Goblin’s Feast
The Goblins aren’t all vegans, of course. This is a standard turkey wing slathered in harissa barbecue sauce.
Murder-ita
One of this year’s signature drinks, the Murder-ita, is made from Cuervo Tradicional tequila, Dekuyper triple sec, lime juice, agave nectar, and salt.
Night Elixir – Dead Coconut Club
The violently blue Night Elixir is coming to the Dead Coconut Club at CityWalk (themed this year, seemingly, to vampires and Blumhouse). It features Beefeater London Dry Gin, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and edible glitter.
Dia de los Muertos Shake – Toothsome Chocolate Emporium
Toothsome’s signature shake this year is themed to Dia de los Muertos and topped with a sugar skull cookie and an edible marigold. The shake itself is made from chocolate chili ice cream.
