*NEW* Autumnal Harvest Flatbread – $13.99

Roasted butternut squash purée, roasted mushrooms, feta and roasted diced butternut squash topped with garlic miso sauce and fried sage

A rectangular flatbread topped with vegetables, herbs, and cheese on a colorful paper plate, placed on a red outdoor table.

This isn’t bad, but the texture of the flatbread base was a bit of a challenge. Was it stale? Was it supposed to be the consistency of a day-old pita? It’s firm without any crispiness. If it weren’t for the flatbread, this would have been a very good option. The fall flavors were solid, but it’s not for everyone.

NOTE: This was originally announced as a plant-based option, and it was supposed to use plant-based feta. However, it has since been updated and uses dairy-based feta cheese. It is not a plant-based dish and, therefore, not vegan.

*NEW* Enchanted Pumpkin Stuff – $7.29

Pumpkin mousse with pumpkin cake and apricot marmalade center topped with green sprinkles, silver stars, chocolate branch, and leaf

A dessert with a spiral of cream and a leaf-like decoration on top sits on a black plate on a red table with green and yellow patterns.

This twist on the classic “Grey Stuff” went from promising to gross pretty quickly. The culprits are the basic cake inside and the cookie on the bottom. The latter had a harsh spice note that we didn’t care for. It tasted like chemical nutmeg.

A partially eaten cupcake with brown frosting on a black plate, accompanied by two black forks. A plate with pizza and a drink are visible on a pink table in the background.

The pumpkin mousse was fine at first but had a bizarre artificial aftertaste. There are so many better sweet treats available at Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time. Skip this.

Maple French Toast Sandwich – $13.29

French toast with an egg patty, bacon, and muenster cheese served with maple syrup

gourmet breakfast sandwich 4

This was previously available as the Gourmet Breakfast Sandwich and it’s still only available for breakfast. It’s better than it looks — still not great but okay. The toast is decent, and the egg patty is delicately flavored with herbs. It’s creamier and less chewy than you would expect from a premade egg patty. The bacon is crispy, and the muenster cheese is a good choice with a subtle yet buttery flavor, even though it leaks out.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Taverne Cold Brew – $6.79

Caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon cold brew with pumpkin cheesecake topper (Non-alcoholic)

Red Rose Taverne Halloween Cold Brew 2023 3

This isn’t the worst cold brew we’ve had from Red Rose Taverne but it’s not particularly good. The drink is chunky and grainy. There’s an off-putting sour note at the end of each sip. It’s a miss for us.

We previously provided a review for this standard shortbread cookie after trying it at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. It is also available at Market House and The Coffee House. It is only available through October 31.
