Christmas Toy Soldiers Arrive at Magic Kingdom, Completing Holiday Decorations

Disney has finished decorating Magic Kingdom for the holidays with the installation of toy soldiers and candy canes in Town Square.

The flowerbeds in the center of Town Square now feature life-size toy soldier figures and candy cane poles. There are two figures in each flowerbed. Though these are static figures, they resemble the marching soldiers in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

The toy soldiers have tall red hats with white feathers and yellow stripes. They wear matching tunics, white pants, and tall black boots. At night, the figures will be illuminated.

Main Street, U.S.A. was mostly decorated last week. The park’s Christmas tree arrived a couple of days ago.

The first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is this Friday, November 8. Tickets for the first night are sold out but some party dates remain available. In addition to the previously mentioned parade, party guests can enjoy special character meet and greets, exclusive merchandise, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks ShowMickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, and complimentary cookies and cocoa. Parties begin at 7 p.m. and run until midnight. The park will close to day guests at 6 p.m. on party dates.
