Disneyland Paris announced more details, released new concept art, and shared a sneak peek of merchandise for Disney Music Festival, which begins next spring.
Disney Music Festival
Disney Music Festival was announced last month and will kick off on April 19. Through September 7, the new event will “bring to life the latest and greatest hits from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films.”
Concept art shows Disney Music Festival banners across the Disneyland Paris entrance.
Disney released a map of the festival’s lineup. Mickey and Minnie will appear in special marching band uniforms on Main Street, U.S.A. for a welcome to the festival and Minnie’s Marching Band.
Concept art shows Minnie in a tall hat with a golden treble clef on the front. The clef is also pictured on a teal stripe down the front of her shirt. She carries a baton as she leads the marching band.
Mary Poppins, Bert, and the Pearly Band will also be on Main Street. They will appear under the gazebo in Town Square.
In front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Goofy will fulfill his dream of becoming a conductor, leading an orchestra of fountains instead of musicians, for “Goofy’s Imaginary Orchestra.”
Other entertainment throughout the park includes “Moana and Her Musicians,” “Miguel’s Fiesta Latina,” “Timon’s Matadance,” “Donald and Daisy’s Accordionist,” and the “Disney Music Hits Concert.” Also at the castle will be “The Grand Orchestra Finale.”
An all-new song for the celebration will tie the various musical moments together.
Guests will be able to meet Stitch in Tomorrowland and Rapunzel and Flynn in Fantasyland.
A first look at merchandise shows items featuring Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy in their Disney Music Festival garb. Other characters from the festival are also featured. There will be shirts, an ear headband, plush, and more.
