The December edition of the Bicoastal Adventures pin has arrived at Walt Disney World, taking inspiration from the legendary Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Limited Edition Pirates of the Caribbean Bicoastal Adventures Pin – $19.99

A limited edition Disney pin from the Bicoastal Adventures collection showcases a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed design, held by a person with pink nail polish.

The pin features Mickey Mouse wearing a blue pirate outfit and a brown feathered hat. Surrounding the pin is a green border with a classic-style Mickey ear hat near the top. Sticking up on both sides of the hat are two flags, with a blue pennant representing Disneyland and a red pennant representing Walt Disney World. Mickey stands in front of a sliding piece reading “Yo Ho! A Pirate’s Life For Me” on a black background. When Mickey is pushed to the right side of the pin, an image of the two skeleton pirates playing chess is revealed. The two pirates are seen in the queue for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

When Mickey is pushed to the left side of the pin, an image of the shoeless pirate wearing his red jacket and black skull-and-crossbones hat appears. This pirate-themed treasure is a limited edition of 4000. We found the new pin at the Frontier Trading Post in Magic Kingdom Park, though it is expected to soon arrive at Disneyland Park as well.

In a dimly lit corner of the themed amusement park, animatronic pirates in a jail cell are reaching for a bone held by a dog. This scene is reminiscent of the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Walt Disney World, capturing all the charm of Bicoastal Adventures.

The original Pirates of the Caribbean attraction opened in Disneyland Park on March 18, 1967, and the attraction was later added to the new Magic Kingdom Park in 1973. Pirates of the Caribbean takes guests on a watery adventure through a mysterious cave filled with treasure and a town being ransacked by pirates. The attraction also directly inspired the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, with the character Jack Sparrow later being added to the Magic Kingdom version of the ride.
