Mama Luna’s Feline Fiesta in DreamWorks Land has changed two of the three themed interactive props to simple yellow buttons, less than a year after the land opened at Universal Studios Florida.
Interactive Props Turned to Buttons in DreamWorks Land
While most of the interactive points along the back wall here were always buttons, the three sculpted items in front were specific items. Seen here from left to right, the items were an upright handbell, a maraca, and a spray bottle.
Each of these items is used in the cat-themed mini-games found in this area. Turning the cranks, utilizing the props, or pressing the buttons causes objects on the screens to react.
Now, two of the three interactive sculptures have been removed and changed to simple yellow buttons, matching the others in the back.
The buttons are still functional, though the bell and maraca have been missing since November. It is possible that the sculpted interactive props were removed due to guest misuse, being broken, or that buttons are simply easier to maintain.
It is unclear if the themed props will eventually return, or if the spray bottle prop that remains will be removed in time as well.
DreamWorks Land opened to guests in June 2024, following a short period of previews for Team Members, Universal Orlando Annual Passholders, and media. The land includes areas themed to “Shrek,” “Trolls,” and “Kung Fu Panda.” Check out our full tour or watch the video below:
