After seeing the return of Polystarch Puffbread and Steak Frites to Disneyland Park, even more menu items have been returning to locations in Disney California Adventure. We found the returning PB&J Split back on the menu at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream, so we went out to give it a taste.
The PB&J Split was originally added to the menu at Clarabelle’s Ice Cream back in May of 2023 as a seasonal item. The name has changed since its return, but all of the ingredients are the same.
PB&J Split – $11.29
Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Sauce, Hot Fudge, Strawberry Topping, Peanuts, Whipped Cream and Waffle Cone Pieces
This item is called a split, but we think its original name as the PB&J Banana Split Sundae is a better description. The three scoops of ice cream are all placed in a cup with fudge, strawberry, and peanut butter. The waffle cone is sprinkled over the top, and the strawberry topping acts as the jelly for the PB&J.
Overall, we liked this. The peanut butter wasn’t the highest quality, but the rest of the ingredients tasted better. We reccomend not eating the layers like a parfait and instead mixing them all together so you get the best bite of the PB&J flavor. We also enjoyed the waffle cone on top, it added a crunchy texture to each scoop.
It’s also worth noting that this ice cream is definitely easy to share. The cup makes it look small in photos, but the portion size is huge.
