When Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe opens in May 2025, guests will be able to meet Donkey Kong.

The official Universal website states:

You’ll Go Bananas Over Meeting Donkey Kong

Meet Donkey Kong Country’s most famous resident at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. Say hello and pose for photos with Donkey Kong himself!

According to Discover Universal Blog, Donkey Kong will meet guests at his treehouse in Donkey Kong Country. This will be the first time Donkey Kong has ever met guests at a Universal theme park in the United States.

In December 2024, Donkey Kong Country in Universal Studios Japan officially opened. It is an expansion to Super Nintendo World, which first opened in 2021.

The expansion features the same Mine-Cart Madness roller-coaster that will be present at Epic Universe, Jungle Beat Shakes quick-service dining location, as well as Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy gift shop. Donkey Kong meets with guests daily outside his treehouse, located next to Jungle Beat Shakes.
