With Walt Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer approaching soon, several rare Disney characters are out meeting guests in Magic Kingdom Park.
One important note is that most of these characters are currently wandering Magic Kingdom as a random encounter rather than a standing meet and greet with a PhotoPass photographer, unless otherwise stated.
Peter Pan & Wendy
Peter Pan and Wendy can be found roaming near the Neverland Map by the queue of Peter Pan’s Flight, though they have been seen walking as far as the Tangled-themed restrooms in Fantasyland. The pair has met together previously for various events, including Valentine’s Day 2024.
The Incredibles
Two members of the Parr family were seen together in Tomorrowland. Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl were walking together close to the entrance of Star Traders and the sign for Space Mountain.
Princess Tiana & Prince Naveen
Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen can be found in the Enchanted Glade Gazebo in Liberty Square, behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Tiana is wearing her lily pad-inspired finale dress, and Naveen is wearing a matching green doublet with detailed embroidery. Tiana and Naveen are also some of the few characters currently meeting with an official PhotoPass photographer as a more traditional meet and greet with a line.
Rapunzel & Flynn Rider
Flynn Rider and Rapunzel are meeting to the left of the “Tangled” restrooms in Fantasyland. This is another couple that is normally only seen during special occasions like Valentine’s Day.
Raya
Raya of the film “Raya and the Last Dragon” is meeting guests across from Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Adventureland. Raya is a rare character that is usually only seen during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, not as a meet and greet. Like Tiana and Naveen, Raya has an official PhotoPass photographer who stands by her location.
Pocahontas
Pocahontas typically meets over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For a limited time, she will be swapping out with Tiana and Naveen near the Enchanted Glade Gazebo in Liberty Square. Pocahontas is the third character with a PhotoPass photographer who stands in roughly the same location for her entire set.
Stepsisters with Lady Tremaine
Anastasia and Drizella, Cinderella’s evil stepsisters, typically meet together in Fantasyland near Cinderella Fountain at scheduled times throughout the day. However, for this limited-time offering, Lady Tremaine is meeting with them. When we spotted the trio, they were standing by the entrance to the Bippidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Mary Poppins, Bert, & Penguin
Over on Main Street U.S.A., Mary Poppins and Bert were out wandering as a couple near the Crystal Arts store. This is another pairing that is usually only seen on character-heavy holidays like Valentine’s Day.
Mary and Bert were soon joined by one dapper penguin wearing a red bow tie. The three walked down the street together, though they had no photographer and did not stand in one spot for long.
Princess Elena
While Princess Elena has previously met guests at the Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom, she has a new meeting location around the porch of the Town Square Theater. Like Raya and Pocahontas, Elena is more stationary and has her own PhotoPass photographer.
These character interactions are part of some limited-time magic centered around young guests. Cool Kid Summer will be offered from May 27 – September 1, 2025, but it appears that Disney is testing the waters with early meet and greet opportunities. Since only some of these characters are listed on official schedules, their availability may change drastically in the coming weeks.
Also, as a new addition to the Magic Kingdom character roster, Romeo McGrowl of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree is now meeting guests in Frontierland. Meanwhile, Cool Kid Summer will bring two new character-hosted dance parties to Magic Kingdom featuring Stitch and Pluto.
