Two new pins celebrating the 15th anniversary of “World of Color” have arrived at Disney California Adventure.
Both of the new pins were being sold at Pan Pacific Pin Traders in San Fransokyo Square.
‘World of Color’ 15 Years General Pin – $22.99
The first new pin has the Pixar Pal-A-Round Ferris wheel placed in the middle of multicolored spraying fountains. The wheel is pale gold with a silver Mickey icon in the center. The nearby fountains are blue, orange, and bright pink. Most of the fountains are accented with silver swirls, but the stream furthest to the left has “15 Years” written in the middle. The bottom of the pin has the “World of Color” wordmark in reflective silver.
Both pins come on specialty backing that is blue with silver detailing. Another “World of Color” wordmark is printed across the top of the backing, and “15 Years” is written in the top right corner. The bottom notes that this pin is a limited edition.
‘World of Color’ 15 Years Magic Key Exclusive Pin – $22.99
The second pin is exclusive for Magic Key holders. To make room for the Magic Key logo, the “15 Years” text on the backing has been moved to just below the show’s wordmark. Like the previous pin, this one is also marked as a limited edition.
The pin itself focuses more on the multicolored fountain streams seen in the background of the last pin. Like the previous art, the fountains are bright orange, pink, and blue above a silver “World of Color” wordmark. Three of the largest fountains feature the silver outlines of Simba, the Genie, and Ariel along with some small silver stars. Another “15 Years” is included on the small pink fountain close to the bottom.
There is currently a limit of two pins per person, per transaction for both of these items.
“World of Color” first premiered at Disney California Adventure on June 11, 2010. Disney California Adventure recently brought back a version of the nighttime spectacular with “World of Color Happiness!” as part of the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebrations. This new version of the show includes a Muppets pre-show and allows guests in the park to vote on their favorite “Inside Out” emotion to get a special spotlight during each performance. Guests can also choose to book the “World of Color Happiness!” Dessert Party to receive reserved seating and a specially-curated box of treats.
