The pavement replacement project is complete at the main entrance of The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom.

Haunted Mansion Pavement Replacement

Guests walk toward the entrance of a theme park attraction called Haunted Mansion on a sunny day.

Crews first replaced all the fake cobblestones of The Haunted Mansion’s exit queue. They then removed the cobblestones — which are actually stamped concrete — from in front of the ride’s entry and exit archways. A few days ago, new pavement was installed across most of the entryway.

The last section by the standby entrance has now been replaced. During the refurbishment, black boards covered the areas where concrete was removed. There are no more black boards in the area.

We don’t know if crews are planning to replace the fake cobblestones in the standby queue next. There’s a clear difference between the new pavement and the old, rundown pavement. Replacing the walkway of the standby queue would be a more difficult project because it’s in constant use when the park is open. Crews may replace the cobblestones overnight and avoid having to block off sections of the sidewalk during the day.
