New DINOSAUR Merchandise Collection Released Before Ride’s Permanent Closure

DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is permanently closing in 2026, but fans can now get some commemorative merchandise for the thrill ride. Since its closure was announced, no DINOSAUR-branded merchandise has been available, only generic Disney dinosaur merch.

Dinosaur-themed t-shirts, hats, and water bottles displayed on shelves in a gift shop.

This new collection is available in the DINOSAUR gift shop, The Dino Institute Shop. The merchandise is mostly a light beige color with artwork of three dinosaurs: Velociraptor, Carnotaurus, and Iguanodon.

Disney Dinosaur Merch

T-Shirt – $34.99

The raptor is brown, the Carnotaurus is red, and the Iguanodon is teal blue. They’re pictured against a white background with a lime green jagged border representing the blast from the asteroid impact. The artwork is on the chest of the tee, with “DINOSAUR” in white-purple ombré lettering. Below the artwork are the taglines “It’s fast! It’s a blast! It’s in the past!” in black and “The future is truly in the past” in white.

Water Bottle – $29.99

The stainless steel bottle is gray with the artwork and quotes on one side. Both taglines are in black lettering. The cap has a light wood finish and a metal loop for carrying.

Ball Cap – $29.99

The art is an embroidered patch on the front of this ball cap. It includes the tagline, “It’s fast! It’s a blast! It’s in the past!”

“The future is truly in the past” is embroidered in black cursive on the back of the hat. It has an adjustable strap with bronze hardware.

Magnet – $14.99

A hand holds a “DINOSAUR” sticker with cartoon dinosaurs and the slogan "It’s fast! It’s a blast! It’s in the past!

On the magnet, “DINOSAUR” is in solid green lettering below the artwork of dinos. It includes the tagline, “It’s fast! It’s a blast! It’s in the past!”

Pin – $14.99

A hand holds a Disney pin featuring a red dinosaur and the word "DINOSAUR" on a starburst background.

Only the Carnotaurus is featured on the pin, with sparkly gold and solid red blast edges behind it. A yellow cloud reads “DINOSAUR.” It’s an open edition pin.

DINOSAUR Closing

A dinosaur statue stands in front of a building with a "Dinosaur" sign above the entrance, surrounded by greenery and under a cloudy sky, reminiscent of DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Disney has not announced an exact closing timeframe for DINOSAUR, only that it will be open through the end of 2025. They have begun filing construction permits for the attraction, however. It will become an Indiana Jones ride, as part of the new Tropical Americas land replacing DinoLand U.S.A.

DINOSAUR shares a ride system with Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, but the Tropical Americas ride will have a new Indiana Jones story.

The Tropical Americas land, including the Indiana Jones ride and an “Encanto” ride, will open in 2027.

DINOSAUR opened as Countdown to Extinction with Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 1998. Though it was always intended to be connected to the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Dinosaur,” the movie wasn’t released until 2000. At that time, the ride was renamed and updated slightly.
