The fan-favorite Merry Menagerie will be back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season, alongside “Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition” and Mickey and Minnie in holiday attire.

Merry Menagerie sees artisan-sculpted puppets of arctic animals roaming Discovery Island, interacting with guests. They are accompanied by live musicians and the area’s wintry decorations. Animals include penguins, reindeer, foxes, and polar bears.

The “Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition” projection show transforms the park’s iconic centerpiece into holiday scenes. This show happens on nights when the park is open after dark. It occurs approximately every 10 minutes until the park closes.

Mickey and Minnie continue to meet guests at Adventurers Outpost but will don holiday outfits. See our coverage of meeting them in their festive attire in 2024.

Though not confirmed for this year, 2024 also saw holiday decorations in Pandora – The World of Avatar, as well as Merry Menagerie-themed decorations around Discovery Island and Diwali decorations in Asia. Last year also marked the final year for holiday decorations in DinoLand U.S.A.

The holiday season at Walt Disney World officially runs from November 14 through December 31, 2025, so we expect these offerings to be available during that timeframe.
