Construction continues on the Jaws bathroom building in Universal Studios Florida, and most of the new siding added to the exterior of the building appears to be complete.

Jaws Bathroom Update

The Jaws-themed bathroom building in Universal Studios Florida has been closed for renovations since February of this year. The building, which was originally a brown color, had all of its original siding stripped from the exterior walls. This building is one of the last remaining structures from the original Amity Island area, which was largely demolished to make room for Diagon Alley over ten years ago.

We first saw some of the new siding being added to the building during our most recent update. However, the siding was just tall enough to become visible over the nearby blue construction walls. Since then, crew members have been busy adding a lot more of the new dark gray material.

Like the siding pieces we saw previously, it appears the building will now all be a dark shade of gray. Before its refurbishment, this building had been painted a lighter shade of brown that helped it blend a bit better with the nearby Grimmauld Palace facade.

The new gray siding has been added to all of the exterior walls, and a majority of the work appears to be complete. The wall on the right side of the building is finished, as is most of the area underneath the roof overhang. The only sections that appear to still need siding is the peak of the roof on the left and a small section close to the entrance.

Also since our last update, the tower placed in the center of the roof has also been repainted. Like the rest of the building, the wood on the sides of this tower used to be a brighter shade of brown. The sides have now been painted a dark gray color that matches the rest of the walls under the roof.

Overall, the exterior of the building appears almost complete, apart from some minor projects like painting the rest of the roof edge on this side. There is still no estimated timeline on when this bathroom building is expected to reopen.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios Florida celebrated the 50th anniversary of Jaws throughout most of June with a new merchandise collection and a celebratory shark-shaped sipper.
