New collectible medallions celebrating the upcoming attraction, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, are now available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We found the new medallions outside Riverside Depot, which is located in the Discovery Island section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

So far, this is the only machine we’ve found in the park to offer these medallions. They are priced at $6 each, or you can get all four designs for $20. The machines do not give change, and a credit card can only be used if you’re buying the full set.
All four designs are inspired by the upcoming show, and feature Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Officer Clawhauser, and a general design for “Zoogether Day” with silhouettes of animals and paw prints.

The medallions are a brushed bronze tone, with the back of each design displaying “Preview Series Zootopia Better Zoogether 2025 Limited Edition.”
The overall look is similar to the recently released Disney Transportation medallions we found earlier this month.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether replaces the former It’s Tough to Be a Bug attraction, located inside the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new show was officially announced in August 2024 at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, after being teased at Destination D23 in 2023.
Disney previously shared a sneak peek at a new original song for Zootopia: Better Zoogether, featuring Ginnifer Goodwin returning as the voice of Judy Hopps.
It’s Tough to Be a Bug held its final day of operation on March 16, 2025, and was closed on March 17. The original attraction was a 3D film and live show inspired by Disney and Pixar’s A Bug’s Life, and debuted on April 22, 1998 as an opening day attraction for the park. During the show, hosted by Flik, guests became “honorary bugs” and learned how insects survive in the wild.

Various permits for set installation and modification of the Tree of Life were filed shortly before the attraction’s closure. The signage for the show was torn down on its closing date, directional signs listing the show were removed, and construction work began in the queue in April 2025. New construction walls went up in front of the attraction’s entrance in June.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether will reuse some of the existing theater effects from It’s Tough to Be a Bug when it opens this winter, and will also feature an Audio-Animatronic of Clawhauser — which may be similar to the one that debuted in the Zootopia expansion at Shanghai Disneyland in 2023. A specified opening date for the attraction has not been announced, though the winter 2025 opening does coincide with the release of Zootopia 2.
