Crews are still clearing land for work on the new entrance to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Disney’s Polynesian Resort Entrance Construction

It was announced earlier this year that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort would be getting a new roadway entrance. As per the official announcement,
From May 2025 through 2026, some areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are being refurbished. This work includes the reconfiguration of the front entrance roadway and bus area. While construction activity will be noticeable during daytime hours, efforts will be made to minimize disruptions. All Resort dining, pools and amenities will remain available. Additionally, some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted. Please allow for extra travel time when arriving at or leaving the Resort.

Work visibly began on the new entrance project in June, with the parking lot directly in front of the Great Ceremonial House blocked off. The space is now completely surrounded by fencing covered in dark scrim, rather than just plastic barriers. Paving has been torn up and crews have organized dirt piles along the edge of the construction site.

Construction will continue into 2026. The resort’s new entrance will be located off Floridian Way instead of Seven Seas Drive, while the current Seven Seas Drive entrance will become a bus entrance.
The Great Ceremonial House, which includes the lobby and Monorail station, will remain open while the work continues. The Monorail station at this resort was most recently refurbished in 2021.
Elsewhere at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, signs of repair work have arrived on the roof of the Aotearoa building, and the lobby wall map has been updated with new art of the Island Tower.
