Disney Cruise Line is saying a “fond farewell” to Australia and New Zealand, with the last season of sailings scheduled for the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026.

Disney Cruise Line Says Farewell
A new post shared by the Instagram account for Disney Cruise Line Australia and New Zealand, @disneycruiselineaunz, encourages guests to take advantage of the last season of sailings taking place in the two countries. According to the post, the final season of Australia and New Zealand sailings is scheduled to take place from October 2025 to February 2026. The full caption included with the post reads:
It’s a fond farewell for now: Make unforgettable memories during this last season in Australian and New Zealand waters, sailing from October 2025 – February 2026. Bring the whole family and your friends for an unforgettable holiday filled with Characters, stories and moments you will treasure forever.
These sailings taking place in the “last season” will be on the Disney Wonder, which has almost 30 planned sailings beginning October 19, 2025. Many of them will originate in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. Several of these farewell sailings are included in the limited-time offer, where third and fourth guests in the same stateroom can join a cruise for 50% off.
Following the final Australia and New Zealand sailing in February 2026, the Disney Wonder will travel to Hawaii and Vancouver before returning to San Diego, California, in March 2026.
New Zealand & Australia
Some added context for the Disney Cruise Line saying goodbye to Australia and New Zealand has been added by Scott Sanders on X. He notes that there has been “overwhelmingly positive feedback from guests following the previous seasons in Australia.” With feedback not being the main issue, Sanders notes that a likely reason for the shift is due to the arrival of the Disney Adventure in the same region starting in December 2025.
The Disney Adventure is set to sail out on its maiden voyage from Singapore on December 15, 2025. Singapore will be the ship’s home port, though it may also sail to other locations in the Asia-Pacific region sometime in the future. The ship will include new and returning offerings, including the first-ever roller coaster at sea for Disney Cruise Line, a Captain Jack Sparrow show, the first-ever Duffy and Friends show and store, the Marvel Style Studio, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and a Disney Princess afternoon tea.
