The extended, yet delightful, holiday season is coming to an end at Disneyland Resort. Signature decorations, traditions, and creative new dining sensations are giving way to more normal fare. That is, until the next inspired new celebration rolls around.
For today, at least, in both parks it still looks a lot like Christmas:
The “Get Your Ears On” celebration of Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be another lengthy occasion of food, fun, and festivities throughout Disneyland Resort. The banners are already up. New merchandise is beginning to surface. The menus and special observances are just around the corner.
In that spirit, the Disneyland Monorail is sporting a brand new look for 2019. Monorail Blue has debuted a classic Mickey overlay in anticipation of Mickey Mouse’s 90th Anniversary Celebration. The new look is really something special.
To take advantage of what must be considered relative downtime between this holiday and the next, Sleeping Beauty Castle is undergoing some overdue repair. A necessity, to be sure, though guests seeking commemorative photos in front of the indispensable icon are going to be disappointed for a spell.
New Disneyland and Disney California Adventure maps are now available for guests. Updates include the addition of the new Tropical Hideaway restaurant, mobile order info, and new cover photos. The notice of the potential for select temporary Pixar Pier attraction closings lends some exciting evidence for the triumphant return of World of Color.

I really hope the new Mickey animation decor does NOT come to WDW. Yikes!
Sorry….as a lifelong SCAL resident, I’m not willing to pay $1000 for a one day park visit for a family day at the park. The Disney greed had become obscene.
Good thing the one day tickets have maybe gone up $10 then. Still crazy, but not $1000.
