During Halloween Horror Nights 2025, Universal Studios Japan has a new HamiKuma popcorn bucket, plus HamiKuma merchandise.

HamiKuma is a zombie bear. In life, he was a sideshow act in a traveling circus. However, his fellow performers became jealous of his popularity and fell for a rumor that he wasn’t a real bear, so they slashed open his belly to expose who or what was inside. They then burned down the big top to cover their tracks.

In the afterlife, the demon Death Bringer worked his way into HamiKuma’s belly to use the bear as its new host. HamiKuma and Death Bringer returned to the surface, but HamiKuma’s soul was left behind.
