The upcoming Disney Adventure cruise ship will no longer hold its maiden voyage on December 15, 2025. The news comes as those booked on the earliest sailings were notified that their trips will not be taking place as planned.
Disney Adventure Cruise Ship Delayed
The Disney Adventure was scheduled to be delivered to Disney Cruise Line in late September, after sea trials were completed. It was supposed to depart on its maiden voyage from Singapore on December 15, 2025. The maiden voyage will now set sail on March 10, 2026.
With the delay, those booked on Disney Adventure sailings from December 15, 2025 through March 12, 2026 were notified of the cancellation of their original plans.
If a guest was booked on the originally scheduled Maiden Voyage, they are being offered the opportunity to sail on the new inaugural sailing at 50% off. Guests who wish to still sail on the Maiden Voyage don’t have to do anything, as their reservation will be automatically shifted to March 10, 2026. If they are unable to sail on the rescheduled cruise, they can receive a full refund and also utilize a 50% discount on a future Disney Cruise Line vacation. This cruise would need to be booked by March 31st, 2026 and sail by March 31, 2027.
Those who were booked on other affected sailings between December 2025 and March 2026 are being automatically refunded and are extended a 50% discount on a future cruise as well. The same rules will apply to these guests also, with the need to book by March 31st, 2026 and sail by March 31, 2027.
This is not the first time in recent years that the Maiden Voyage of a new Disney Cruise Line ship was delayed. The Disney Wish went through a similar situation in 2022 when its first sailing was moved from June 9 to July 14.
