Just days after they pulled a disappearing act, greeters distributing free samples have returned to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop in Disney Springs.
On Wednesday, we reported that greeters were no longer offering samples at the door of the Disney Springs location, or any other Ghirardelli store. Following the report that samples were no longer being given out, public backlash over the decision apparently made the company rethink the move.
During the brief disappearance of Cast Members offering chocolate at the door, guests could still request a sample inside the shop, but many felt this took away from the Ghirardelli experience park guests have come to love.
Will you be heading to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop to get your free samples again?
It’s more important for you to keep to your made up story and get breaking news than to think maybe they were just running low or had staffing issues.
Here’s the link to the tweet from Ghirardelli confirming the change a few days ago:

So…
What you reported was accurate — free samples were still available but a dedicated greeter was no longer handing them out at the door. But somehow, across the vast Internet tubes, that seemed to get changed into, “no more free samples, period.” Not sure how that transition took place, but that’s certainly not the fault of your reporting.
But they are back at the door now.
Walt you don’t know what your talking about, bad remark by you.
Now lets see if it’ll work on resort parking fees!
Wow, nice move by Ghirardelli. To bad Disney doesn’t listen to their customers.
That dining room is NEVER that empty.
