Crews have completed even more concrete footers for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Florida. The roller coaster is replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Construction

The construction site is visible from Hard Rock Cafe in CityWalk. There are several concrete footers with wood boxes on top of them throughout the site. Between the footers are various metal poles.

Yellow caution tape outlines some trenches dug in the ground for further foundational work.

During our Thursday, February 5 visit, we saw a few crew members working closer to the park.

Dozens of gray PVC electrical conduit pipes are sticking out of the ground. A different structure is in the works at the other side of the coaster’s site inside Universal Studios Florida.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is also under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood, where it will open this summer. The Universal Studios Florida version will open in 2027. The concept art above is for the Hollywood version, but the Florida version is expected to be similar.
Fast & Furious: Supercharged at Universal Studios Florida will close next year with the opening of Hollywood Drift.
