Landscaping in Downtown Disney

A small area of landscaping is covered in scrim in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort.

The small area surrounded by scrim is located near the corner of Salt & Straw. The green scrim is surrounded by black planters with greenery.

Inside the scrim, it appears that a new tree and shrubbery have been planted. Work may still be underway as there is still equipment and panting supplies present. It is also possible that Disney wants to leave the tree behind scrim to ensure it thrives in the environment.

Other work in Downtown Disney includes the addition of two new restaurants in the former Tortilla Jo’s location. A permanent two-story Earl of Sandwich is also under construction. It will include a quick-service space and Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby, a “British Invasion”-inspired tavern.
