The Disney Parks Blog has shared new updates on changes coming to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, including concept art of Parkside Market, an update about Earl of Sandwich, and more.
Parkside Market at Downtown Disney District
New concept art for Parkside Market has been released, showing off what guests can expect from the collection of four eateries coming to the west end of the Downtown Disney District. In October 2023, Disney filed permits valued at $8.2 million for the expansion.
Once open, Parkside Market will include:
- Seoul Sister – fast casual modern Korean eatery based on bibimbap (Korean rice bowls)
- Sip & Sonder – serving lattes, fresh treats, frozen drinks, and Caribbean-inspired dishes
- GG’s Chicken Shop – chicken sandwiches, salads, and classic dinner table sides
- A second-story bar offering views of the district and signature craft cocktails paired with appetizers
Earl of Sandwich
Earl of Sandwich will get a new, two-story location in the Downtown Disney District, with a quick-service shop on the ground level and a table-service option upstairs. More details will be shared about this project in the future.
A temporary Earl of Sandwich pop-up location will be opening in the meantime, near Star Wars Trading Post. As previously announced, the restaurant will be relocated from its current temporary location on the east end of the district near the Esplanade to make way for Porto’s Bakery.
Paseo and Centrico, and Tiendita
New concept art for the upcoming Paseo and Centrico was also released. Once open, this restaurant will offer menus created by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. The Paseo upstairs dining room and Céntrico on the first floor will serve upscale Mexican cuisine and tequila-based cocktails.
Meanwhile, next door the newly-announced Tiendita will serve Chef Gaytán’s Mexican fare on-the-go with quick-service street food options.
No new dates for when these new experiences will open have been shared yet, but stay tuned for more updates!
