The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the second film in the Super Mario franchise, dropped its first full trailer today during Super Bowl LX.

The sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie is set to release on April 3, 2026. The first film’s directors, Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and writer Matthew Fogel, are all returning, as are the voice cast from the first with the addition of Brie Larson as Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. The film also introduces Yoshi, Mario’s beloved dinosaur sidekick.

The film is based on the Super Mario Galaxy games, both of which are available for the Nintendo Switch with Mario and Rosalina Amiibo figures.
