Guests at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Receiving Wristbands for Beach Access

Beach barriers installed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are restricting access to the area for anyone who isn’t a guest at the hotel. Hotel guests are receiving wristbands for access, seemingly for the 4th of July weekend.

During our visit today, July 3, we were informed that wristbands are being placed in guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Beach access, seemingly for this weekend’s fireworks, is restricted to hotel guests only.

While Cast Members were not positive on the purpose of the barriers on our recent report the other day, speculation is that they are being installed to reduce access to the beach for the July 4th, America’s 250 celebration. At this time, it is believed the beach access will be restricted to club-level guests and those staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Disney has been limiting guest access to certain locations as of late. Guests visiting Walt Disney World now have to verify a hotel, dining, or activity reservation before using resort transportation from Disney Springs. They may also be aiming to limit access to the resorts during the holiday season.

There will be a lot going on at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts for America’s 250th. Check out our full guide if you plan on visiting.
