Starting this summer, ABC Commissary over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is changing its fast casual dinner experience to accept reservations. Guests who book dining times in advance now have priority entry. Reservations are now open for dates beginning June 2, 2019 and can be booked via the MyDisney Experience app or by calling Disney Dining.
Each night starting at 4:00 PM, guests with reservations are invited to place their order, take a pager and find a comfortable seat. Then, when the order’s ready, a Cast Member will bring their food right to their table.
This appears to be very similar to the system over at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom, which makes sense given that they are in the process of installing self-serve beverage stations at ABC Commissary. Established reservation times may avoid dinnertime chaos in this area once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens come August 29th.
New Art Deco elements and furnishings will be added to the space as part of this slight rebranding, as well as a new dish added to the menu: a savory new Pot Roast served over mashed potatoes and root vegetables with beef gravy and onion straws.
