Seattle’s La Creperie Voila to Operate France Pavilion’s Upcoming Restaurant, More Details Revealed

Located on the sidewalk at the entry to the Washington State Convention Center lies a tiny, hole-in-the-wall crepe window called La Creperie Voila. It has a small, but devoted following, and guests to the center can rarely refuse a warm, freshly-made crepe in the cold Seattle weather. So, what does a food stand in Seattle, Washington have to do with Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida?

Along with the addition of the Ratatouille trackless dark ride attraction, the France pavilion at Epcot will be adding a few other establishments in the new section of Paris that Remy will call home. And it turns out La Creperie Voila will be the ones operating the newly-announced creperie coming to Epcot.

Their menu includes savory crepes, like ratatouille crepes, and other flavors like salmon lox, ham, scrambled egg, goat cheese, and more. Epcot’s version promises to offer a make-your-own menu, so guests probably won’t be locked in to a particular flavor and will be able to pick and choose from a list of fresh ingredients.

With a menu inspired by the Brittany region of France, the new location will offer table service dining, with about 80 seats at the sit-down restaurant, and a quick-service window for guests craving sweet and savory crepes on the go.

You place your order, watch them make it from the window, and take it to go around the World Showcase. (It’d also be something good to nibble on if you’re hungry before riding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.)

Depending on how many crepe burners they’ll have at the location, wait times may be an issue as these are made to order, but watching the crepe making should be a fun experience for guests of all ages.

As far as the current dessert crepe kiosk at the pavilion, Crepes des Chefs de France, we aren’t entirely sure what they’ll do with it, seeing as though there may be an overabundance of crepes in the area. (Traffic flow might also be improved by removing the kiosk, or making it strictly seasonal.)

Well, what do you think of this new space? Are you eager for a fresh new quick service in the area? Given the popularity of the Les Halles Boulangerie, we’re definitely excited.

  1. The savory menu seem a bit disapointing, why do they put spinach in all the crepes, they also forget some classic like the burger (also called Américaine) or tartiflette crepe that you can find easily in France.
