Raise your hand if you’re prepared for summer crowds! Memorial Day weekend is like the unofficial start to summer rush here, and I’m definitely noticing the difference. Most mornings, I’m at the rope for rope drop. Today, I have to stealthily maneuver my way through crowds of people staring at the castle show to even be able to see the rope.
Luckily, there are large gaps in between people and I can make my way towards Tomorrowland.
I love seeing a crowd of people staring off into one direction,
Remember that sea of people from 5 minutes ago? They’ve now formed an orderly line for Space Mountain.
The line creeps all the way to the Astro Orbiter.
While cruising around on the PeopleMover, it stopped temporarily in the perfect spot to see the TRON construction. It’s beautiful.
I’m beyond disappointed in this Tomorrowland painting if this is the finished product. You can see the faintest color of a second stripe next to the gray stripe. I have a feeling this paint color was a mistake, but we’ll see what happens.
The ground along the Tomorrowland Speedway by the Tea Cups is getting redone.
It’s not even lunch time, and the crowds are piling into Cosmic Ray’s.
Be sure to keep an eye out for some unique Disney friends when you’re in Fantasyland. You never know who you might meet.
Anastasia and Drizella were riding the carousel. It was no easy task getting off that horse!
The Fastpass line for Peter Pan’s Flight extends to the exit of Philharmagic. This doesn’t sound “fast” to me, but I guess it’s better than the stand-by queue. And at least the Cast Member was making the best of being a human sign.
Just a quick look at the pathway widening. Not much has changed, especially after a holiday weekend.
This Monster’s Inc. pin set is super cute and $24.99. We found this set at the Emporium. I love the “Kitty” pin.
I would rather be getting soaked on Splash Mountain right now.
Even Tom Sawyer Island was crowded.

Just finished the day at Blizzard Beach and the crowds were not too bad. EPCOT yesterday seemed lighter then normal
Headed down in 8 days. Not looking forward to the heat or the crowds, but yay vacation! Did I hear correctly that the spitting camels are no longer at the magic carpet ride???
Fortunately for us, being retired, we can go to WDW during all of the slow times, and use fast passes, as well as reservations for dining, and since we have been going there for some 30 odd years we have now found all of the slow (or less crowded times) so that we can actually enjoy ourselves when we are there instead of standing on the outrageous lines. And we would NEVER go during summer vacation times when there are 22 billion children there! :)
Lol thanks for the heads up! We’ve been there over Thanksgiving & Easter but our fastpasses saw us through… Thought about summertime but the heat & now 22 billion children? I’ll hard pass 😂
