The extended closure of Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom just got even longer. Dinoland U.S.A. will now be without Primeval Whirl through September 28, 2019.
First reported closed on June 17, 2019, the reason for the closure has yet to be announced by Disney.
Primeval Whirl was previously expected to reopen on August 4, 2019, so guests should be wary of another extension to the closure. All guests with a current FastPass for the attraction during the downtime period will receive a Multiple Experience FastPass for an attraction in the same tier.
Stay tuned to WDWNT for updates on this ongoing closure.

Can they just decide that all of this work isn’t worth it, and just replace the darn thing with a much better attraction already?
Yeah, I’m like, I JUST WANT ZOOTOPIA LAND AT ANIMAL KINGDOM!!
I woke up this morning to an email that cancelled my fastpass for 8.29 from Primeval to Dinosaur…ugh.
This is my daughter’s favorite ride.
It definitely fills a void in the “kid friendly” attractions at Animal Kingdom, along with the spinner next to it, but it is also an ‘off the shelf’ style attraction they could easily replace with something less loud and clanky and more permanent.
THIS keeps happening It may be closed permanently.
Ugh. Just close it. This is by far Disney’s worst ride. It’s cheap, and themed really poorly. If this keeps happening, why not just use the money that keeps being used for repairs and build a better ride.
