Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closed Due to Unexpected Maintenance

Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has closed unexpectedly for an unscheduled maintenance.

The reason for the closure has not been announced, and at the moment there is no sign as to when the ride will be operational again. The ride’s closure has not affected any of the other attractions or offerings in DinoLand U.S.A., where the Wild Mouse coaster is located.

A quick look at the My Disney Experience app shows that the ride is still located under attractions, but has been removed from the wait times section of the app.

Stay tuned to WDW News Today, as well will let you know as soon as the ride is up and running once more.

Stuck at Animal Kingdom with no Primeval Whirl to ride? In the meantime, why not head over Isle of Java to try out the new Tiger Tail treat.

  1. Someone was complaining about bee’s around it the other day and they had gotten stung. No clue if this may be why. Maybe a bee’s hice built in it??

  2. It may just be a coincidence but there has been a serious accident on a very similar ride in the UK so they could well, be doing a safety check following lessons learned, the UK accident involved a 8 year old falling out of one of the cars.

  3. We are disappointed to see this closed. It is one of our favorites. I was excited to share it with family on their first visit in 25 years.
