If you are staying at a select Walt Disney World resort hotel, you may find some Disney characters ready to make some magical moments. Donald, Goofy, Daisy, Minnie, Tigger, Pooh, Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale are the characters guests may find at select hotels.
These character experiences will allow guests to directly interact with characters in an informal setting. These experiences will range from playing corn hole to lounging at the pool, and more!
Here’s where you can find your favorite characters:
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Chip and Dale can be found in and around the lawn area at Wilderness Lodge.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Chip and Dale will be interacting with guests at the Contemporary Resort playing lawn games like corn hole.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto canl be found in the lawn outside of the Great Ceremonial Hall.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Pooh and Tigger can be found around the various sidewalks at the resort, whereas Mary Poppins can be found by Main Pool topiaries. Alice and the Mad Hatter will be found in and around the Mad Hatter Tea Party pool.
Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
Daisy, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy will be in and around the pool area ready to catch some sun with guests.
Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
Daisy, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy will also be around the pool area at the BoardWalk to partake in the fun.
These informal character experiences are only available for a limited time, so be sure to say hi before they move along!
Readers have confirmed experiencing character greetings at the resorts mentioned above during their current stays, like Daisy at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. No end date has been specified and no schedules are in place for the characters as these are meant to be informal, spontaneous character encounters, but it probably doesn’t hurt to ask upon checking in at any of the above resort hotels.
Any idea when this will happen or for how long? I didn’t see anything on Disney’s website, but I might have just been looking in the wrong place.
Thanks.
I can hear Iger now at the Disney Board meeting, let’s add this option to certain resorts and we will fool the customers to think they are getting a good deal.
Wow, no including the Princess Parade at the Grand Floridian?
I have been a yacht and beach all day.. I’m in my room rn with a pool view, where are they characters? I’ve seen nothing
So what this tells me is value resort children means nothing.. would have been nice to see at least one character at our value resort.
Mainly in the summer months around 3pm (think during daily rain showers), a random selection of characters can sometimes be found at the AoA for meet-and-greet. This usually is because Disney is training new entertainment CMs. It’s not scheduled and you have to be lucky to catch it but when you do, it’s neat to see!
